Gareth Durnall : Knights
I studied law and information systems full time at Keele University whilst at the same time managing a small bar - it was a busy few years! I then went on to complete my Legal Practice Course at Staffordshire Law School before working for a niche practice in the area.

I joined Knights in 2006, qualifying as a solicitor in early 2008 and staying on to join the Employment Unit.

As part of my work I have experience of a range of contentious issues such as unfair dismissal, equal pay and discrimination. I have also appeared as an advocate in the Employment Tribunal. In addition to this, I regularly provide advice on various non-contentious topics ranging from contracts of employment and workforce agreements to business reorganisations and redundancy.

I am a member of Knights' Charitable Committee and am regularly involved in planning and implementing a number of events for various charities, including the County Air Ambulance.

As part of my position within the Employment Unit, I regularly prepare and contribute to external publications and am involved in providing training on a range of topics.

Outside work, I am an avid sportsman (although my talent does not match my enthusiasm!) and can usually be found taking part or spectating at anything even remotely sports orientated. When the weather is good (which is rare) and I am not making the most of it on the golf course, I like to get out for a ride on my motorbike in the hope that it won't start to rain as soon as I get off the drive!
