I graduated from Staffordshire University in 1997 with an honours degree in law and then attended The College of Law in Guildford.
I started my training contract at KJD Solicitors in September 1998 and I qualified into the Commercial Litigation Department in September 2000 gaining experience in a wide range of civil and commercial disputes. I was made an associate in 2003 and became a member of ACTAPS (the Association of Contentious Trusts and Probate Specialists) in 2004 which promotes specialist knowledge and services in all aspects of contentious trust and probate matters.
I joined Knights in September 2007 to specialise in will, trust and inheritance disputes including claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975, interpretation of wills and other trust documents, challenges to the validity of wills and trusts due to lack of capacity and/or undue influence and claims against professional advisers, particularly solicitors in preparing wills and dealing with estates and trusts.
I am on the committee of the North Staffordshire Law Society.
I have a great passion for drama and acting having performed in a number of theatrical and dance productions over the years, often taking the lead actress role for example in Noel Coward's play "See How They Run". I also enjoy travelling, particularly in the United States, and have spent time working in Europe in the banking industry. I am married with a son.
