After leaving school I joined a local firm of solicitors following which I had an opportunity to experience most aspects of law. By the age of 25 I realised that it was family law that really appealed to me, consequently, for the last 35 years I have dealt with the full spectrum of family law.
My experience includes all matters relating to divorce, separation, division of family assets, co-habitation, maintenance and family disputes particularly involving high net worth and on occasions with international dimensions. I have chaired the North Staffs Solicitors Family Law Association and am currently a member of Resolution (formerly known as the Solicitors’ Family Law Association).
I joined Knights in 2004 to head the highly successful Family Unit and as a result have furthered my experience by not only dealing with courts in the locality but throughout the country.
I am committed to dealing with all aspects of family law in an amicable and realistic manner as a means of avoiding unnecessary anxiety and additional legal costs.
I am married with two children, a sports enthusiast having previously played rugby and cricket, although I admit my fitness levels of yesteryear have dwindled quite dramatically. However, I continue to enjoy both sports from the safety of the stands or an armchair. To make up for my love of red wine and good food my fitness regime now revolves around trying to reduce my golf handicap.
