After obtaining my Law Degree from the University of Sheffield and attending the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law in York, I returned home to Staffordshire to join Knights in September 2002. I qualified as a solicitor in September 2004 and became an associate in the commercial litigation & dispute resolution department in April 2008.
I deal with commercial and civil disputes by way of litigation in the County Court and High Court and through various methods of alternative dispute resolution such as mediation.
I adopt a practical, robust and commercial approach to each client’s dispute or potential dispute.
Matters I deal with include contractual disputes, corporate and personal insolvency work, contentious intellectual property matters, commercial agent compensation claims, company and partnership disputes, construction and engineering disputes and negligence claims.
Property disputes I deal with include restrictive covenant disputes (including applying to the Lands Tribunal for the discharge of restrictive covenants), contentious landlord and tenant work, service charge disputes (including applying to the Leasehold Valuation Tribunal), possession cases, issues with constructive and resulting trusts and disputes regarding boundaries, rights of way, trespass and easements.
When not dealing with disputes, I enjoy music, films and playing and watching football (especially as a Stoke City season ticket holder).
