Russell Coddington : Knights
I left my native Yorkshire in 1994 to study law at Lancaster University. Graduating in 1997, I undertook the LPC at The College of Law in Chester. Taking time out to travel in Central America, I then took up my training contract with Knights in 1999 and qualified as a solicitor in 2001. I became a partner on 1 October 2007.

I am part of the Asset Management Unit dealing primarily with the acquisition and disposal of investment property for both pension funds and private investors. I also form part of our nationally renowned minerals & waste unit. I specialise in transactional work including negotiating mineral working rights leases together with added value plant site leases. A third area of involvement for me is within our Social Housing Unit. I mainly deal with site acquisition for a number of registered social landlord clients. I am cited in the Chambers Guide to the UK legal profession as a talented and professional practitioner. I am a co-editor of “Ross: Commercial Leases”.

I support Sheffield United F.C. and enjoy playing most sports, including football, golf, tennis and cricket. I have taken part in the London Marathon twice, helping to raise money for The Meningitis Trust along the way. I would love to see more of the world and an ambition of mine is to travel and explore South America.
